Instructor Examiner Rating Course Information

REQUIREMENTS FOR TAKING THE COURSE:

  • USPA or FAI membership
  • An Instructional Rating (Coach or Instructor)
  • Have the course materials prior to the start date

THE PROFICIENCY CARD:

At this time there is no Proficiency card required. But you will need a current IRM and SIM for the course, (current means not older then 24 months.) You will also need to complete the written exam prior to attendance. To order course materials visit www.uspa.org for the SIM and IRM.

THE COURSE:

The course starts on the scheduled first day at 9:00AM with verification of the requirements (outlined above) so bring your membership/instructor card and logbook if necessary. The course is conducted over 3-days (see the attached schedule) with classroom presentations, video analysis, and motor skills evaluations. To be successful each candidate must score satisfactory on 2-directed teaching sections (classroom presentations), 1-motor skills (practical exercise), and 1-video skill analysis. Each candidate must score 100 % on the USPA written exam. This is open book  and must be completed prior to the start of the course. The questions are in the IRM and the SIM respectively.

COURSE FEES:

The Instructor Examiner Course fee is $400.00 per person. This covers the training and USPA rating fees. The candidates are also responsible for the Examiners travel, transportation on-site, and lodging during the course.

      DAY-3

•    Responsibilities of the S&TA and the I/E   
•    Role of the Instructor Examiner (Pre-course, During, and Post-Course)
•    Ground and Air Skills Evaluation forms
•    Conflict Resolution
•    Classroom Presentations (motor skills)
•    Course Recap and Final Interviews
